Account Deletion and Data Removal Policy
We take your privacy and data security seriously. This page explains the steps you need to take to request the deletion of your account and personal data associated with our app, as well as what data will be deleted or retained.
How to Request Account Deletion
If you would like to delete your account and all associated personal data, please follow these steps:
- Log in to the app: Ensure you are logged into the app with the account you wish to delete.
- Go to Account Settings > Edit Profile.
- Select 'Delete account forever'
- Confirm Deletion: You will be prompted to confirm the deletion. Please read the confirmation message carefully, as this action is irreversible.
Alternatively, you can request account deletion by contacting our support team at hello@unlock-app.com. Please use the subject line “Account Deletion Request” and include your username and associated email address in the message.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Once your account deletion request is processed:
- All personal data such as your email, photo, name, surname, username, and any related data such as unlocked rewards and missions will be permanently deleted from our system.
- Community posts data (comments, likes, etc.) that you may have made within the app's community section will not be deleted. This is to maintain the integrity of the community discussions and ensure continuity of conversations. However, your name will be anonymized or replaced with "Deleted User" where possible.
Please note that the account deletion process is irreversible. Once your account and data have been deleted, they cannot be recovered.
Retention Period
Once you initiate the account deletion process, we will delete all relevant data within 30 days of the request. Community posts data will be retained but anonymized.
